Im not really going to trick or treating this year... Its not as exciting to go out and get some candy, its like I got tired of it or something. And instead some people give like pop cans or chips bags. You kids have fun trick or treating!

Microsoft Unwraps Longhorn
-The new operating system, still a few years away, is expected to change the way developers write business apps
For anyone who develops software for Windows PCs--and that includes nearly everyone who manages business applications--Oct. 27 is a red-letter day. Microsoft will take the wraps off the first publicly available code for its next version of Windows, code-named Longhorn. It's due in 2006, if all goes according to plan. Billed as the biggest release of Microsoft's flagship product since Windows 95 nearly a decade ago, Longhorn will include technology for building a new generation of "smart client" software that combines the look and feel of PC applications such as Word or Excel with immediate access to information on the Web.

House OKs $87.5 billion to stabilize, rebuild Iraq
WASHINGTON -- The House, putting aside questions about the mission in Iraq, gave strong endorsement early today to a $87.5 billion package to sustain U.S. military forces and rebuild the shattered nations of Iraq and Afghanistan. "Congress stood with the president and our soldiers tonight, sending them the support they need to defend our nation and all those working to advance freedom abroad," said Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Mo. The package, approved 298-121 shortly after midnight, includes nearly $65 billion for military personnel and operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and an additional $18.6 billion for reconstruction efforts in Iraq. All three Utahns in the House -- Republican Reps. Rob Bishop and Chris Cannon and Democratic Rep. Jim Matheson -- voted in favor of the bill. The Senate is expected to follow suit quickly, sending President Bush a package that closely mirrors his original request.

I was wondering what to write in my blog today. Ideas wash away so fast. I was wondering, you know how when you play with XBOX or PS2 or do something else you do it for a purpose, well what's the purpose of us being on earth? And live? I don't really seem to catch the harmony in that maybe I will know when I grow up? And then I was wondering why money was made up, and I really thought about it and its like a cycle because when you earn the money obviously someday you would use it and pay someone the money and that person that gets the money also uses it, and its like a ticket to resources of life...

One of Iran's most popular singers over the past 50 years, and the person mostly credited as the father of Iranian pop music, Vigen Derderian passed away this last weekend in Los Angeles. I can't imagine many Iranians not having at least one memory associated in some way to one of his many hits. The picture above and this collection of some of his songs are courtesy of iranian.com. I wish his family and close associates strength and will always remember him fondly. He was certainly loved.

Today in my French class our teacher wasn't there so we had a substitute teacher instead of her. She asked me what's my name I said John Gamble! LOOOOOL all of us were laughing my friend that was sitting behind me said his name was Jamaal! And my 2 other friends that were sitting beside me said Robert and Nacho!! LOOOOOOOOL it was so funny everyone had another name the whole class! And the teacher actually believed us!! What a stupid teacher! Anyways we had a lot of laugh. One of my friend that's name was Kevin and said his name was Jamaal was like crying of laughing! When the teacher called me she said "John!!!! Do your work!!!" LOOOOOL I didn't even care because I wasn't really John and I was like laughing massively infront of her! And the rest of the day just sucked and it was so boring. Finally its the weekend and NO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!

What a school trip!
Today I went to a school trip and we went to a maze that was made of corn! isnt that awsome! I didnt get lost even once the family that made the corn maze were from holand and I dont really remember when they came here exactly but I remember that it was a long ago... We had a race between groups and we had a flag too so we would race and when we are going through the maze our teacher would know where we are. My team, it was me and 3 of my friends and we cheated by going through the corn's and taking short cuts and then after that we went to mc-donalds for lunch but the mc-donalds in that town was recked from the Hurricane Juan so they were rebuilding it. We decided to go to another mc-donalds in somewhere else...
Overall the trip was fun

School wasn't as bad today after almost 2 weeks we have school again, Hurricane Kate almost came to here but unfortunately it went to New Found Land... Too bad I was wishing it would come here so we didn't have school again! I have a test on Friday and its a big one! We have to study 28 definitions and we have to make a sentence for each! These teachers are crazy!!! I got 3 of my tests back today I got B on 2 of them and an A on Science Lab. I downloaded this game called Mech Commander 2 and when my brother went to play online with it there was like only 12 people! LOL!! Its a pretty good game with good graphics but it came out 2 years ago. I still play Counter Strike, this game is seriously addicting! And it also changes your attitude. I even like Counter Strike more now because of the new version here's a new eurodance mix that came out this month!
